Description

The 2nd Annual Walk for Food Allergy is Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the Music Concourse Bandshell in Golden Gate Park (near de Young Museum and Japanese Tea Garden). The two-mile walk around Stow Lake is to raise awareness for food allergies and funds to benefit food allergy education, advocacy, and research towards a cure. Registration starts at 8:30 AM. Walk officially starts at 9:30 AM. Post-walk entertainment from about 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM includes bounce houses, balloon artists, magician, and performances such as an engaging show by Mad Science. This is a child/family event good for all ages. There is no registration fee and no minimum requirement for funds raised by participating walkers.
