Saint John the Evangelist Church is a community of faith five minutes from the 16th St. Mission BART welcoming people of all sexual orientations, colors, and cultures. Our mission is to live, love, and serve in the hope and joy of the Reurrection, to be a positive, life-affirming, growing spirutual community, and to minister to the neighborhood and the greater city through liturgy, prayer, education, music, and celebration. The church is the third oldest Episcopal church in California. The building is a beautiful 1909 Tudor Arts and Crafts liturgical space with a meticulously kept garden.
