What can one say when they stumble upon a slice of sushi paradise that has true urban charm? With Ryoko's I can only say, "I'll be back as soon as possible."

Sushi chef Atsushi Matsuda is a young man with an artist's touch when it comes to making sushi. And he's nice, one might say, even approachable. He'll tell you what's fresh, give you a few suggestions if you ask and maybe even hang out and talk a while if you buy him a drink and it's not too busy.

Suggestions: fresh tofu with shaved ginger, onion served with ponzu sauce (incredible) and on the evening I visited, the bonito was particularly fresh.
