The Richmond district is an expansive neighborhood in the northwest corner of San Francisco, directly north of Golden Gate Park, and roughly bordered by Fulton Street, Presidio and Lincoln Parks, and Ocean Beach. Park Presidio Boulevard is a major north-south thoroughfare that divides the "Inner" and "Outer" Richmond areas, and Geary Boulevard is the neighborhood's major east-west thoroughfare. Clement Street between Arguello and Park Presidio boulevards is a commercial area home to many unique shops, bars, pubs and restaurants that are frequently crowded with neighborhood locals. As far as the Richmond real estate market goes, the Inner Richmond is pricier—with home prices averaging around $900k to $1 million—while the Outer Richmond offers more affordable homes in the low- to mid-$700k region.
