The snazzy deco interior and ample scooter parking guarantee a perpetual crowd for this local coffeehouse/bar. Located next to little Hollywood Laundrette on market and octavia, the Orbit Room provides good reason to do your laundry alone. With inexpensive but well presented inhouse cafe food, and bartenders who make all the drinks with top shelf liquor (at well drink prices), you can eat, drink, and (with luck) pick up a date by the time your whites are finishing the spin cycle. The inside is tastefully and futuristically decorated, and there's always someone at the bar who's willing to chat during the dryer times.
