China Basin/ Mission Rock Bars and Clubs

Out of the city a bit and right on the water, China Basin and Mission Rock nightlife is farther flung, but manages to entice taxis full of the young and the restless, locals entertaining people from out of town or locals from other San Francisco neighborhoods. China Basin may be a place in San Francisco most have never heard of, but give it some time, there's more there than meets the eye. Sure it's a bit barren, but with the lack of residential occupancy, being drunk and obnoxious is much, much easier. The crowds stay later when partying out here, and believe or not, there are places to have a few drinks. Kelly's Mission Rock is by far the most well-known, collecting college kids and those who want sweeping views of the Bay while sipping martinis. Yes, the area needs more, but who can resist a place to be as loud as possible at 2am?
