| Description Seymour Krim, editor of one of the best known Beat anthologies, The Beats (1960), has himself been left out of nearly every recent Beat collection. The reason for this may have been Krim's endless wrestling with his Jewish identity. Krim was unhappily Jewish, but he wrote about it with great candor and hilarious black humor. Mark Cohen rescues this forgotten Beat from oblivion. |
