Lunaderos! Galeria’s final LUNADA of the year ushers in the coming winter with live Brazilian music and poetry from a LUNADA O.G. November’s LUNADA features the amazingly talented guitar playing of Ian Faquini and a reading by Mary Mendoza who hosted and produced the original Bay Area LUNADAs in San Jose in the late 90s. We hope you can join us!

Ian Faquini is a 17 year old Brazilian guitarist who is now a senior at Berkeley High School. He has been playing guitar for 6 years but just began playing Brazilian music when he attended California Brazil Camp in 2006 and met his mentor, Guinga, whose music became Ian's passion. He has started to play small shows around the bay area as a soloist and guest artist to such groups as Falso Baiano.
