The Lorraine Hansberry Theatre is an intimate 300-seat, state-of-the-art theatre located in the heart of San Francisco's Downtown theatre district. A modified, proscenium thrust stage opens into the audience with excellent views throughout the theatre. It's safe to say: "There's not a bad seat in the house!" Our theatre retains the early 20th Century charm of the YWCA's landmark building and the Sheehan Hotel. We have a comfortable lobby, easy access, and a lobby/reception area that is available for special occasions.
