Little Baobab, a restaurant specializing in foods of the Exotic Islands is open in the heart of the Mission District. Located around the corner from its sister Senegalese restaurant Bissap Baobab, Little Baobab features delectable dishes influenced by the flavors found in French Creole, African, Asian and Carribean cooking.

Little Baobab specializes in dishes with many unique flavors such as a creole avocado made with crab meat, rice and just the right amount of spice, fried banana plantains served with a tamarind yogurt sauce, tender crab cakes with a creamy sauce and shrimp with coconut sauce, rice and potatoes, sauted shark in parsley/garlic sauce. Chef Alain Ferando creates flavors not found anywhere else in the city - as he learned to cook living in French Islands, Saint Barthelemy, Guadeloupe.
