Description
Jazz pianist and composer Hilton Ruiz, regarded as one of the most versatile musicians in jazz, died unexpectedly in New Orleans in 2006 while working on a Hurricane Katrina benefit recording. Today’s special program includes Ray Vega (horns), Steve Turré (horns), Dave Valentín (flute), Arturo O'Farrill (piano), Yunior Cabrera (bass), Phoenix Rivera, (drums), Pete Escovedo (timbales), and Chembo Corniel (percussion).
