Sandwiched (no pun intended) between all the Downtown chain eateries on Kearny is one of the most authentic and worthwhile lunch spots in the city. Homemade paella crammed with mussels and shrimp may reign on Thursdays, but there are always the gyros the 'chicken-in-a-pita invasion,' dolmas, spinach rolls, and the vegan 'wowee plate' which never disappoints; not to mention some of the best baba gannouj in the city.
