International Orange (IO), named after the color of the Golden Gate Bridge, aptly captures the spirit of purity and transformation. A spa concept that nourishes the spirit and transforms the body with specialized wellness treatments, bodywork and yoga, to rejuvenate any spa lover or first time client. Located on Fillmore Street in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights neighborhood, International Orange has a prime location with easy access for tourists. Visitors enter this second story spa and are immediately met with natural sunlight and elegant decor. One of the spa’s stunning features is the dark Brazilian cherry wood floor set in contrast to the milk-white walls.

Prior to treatment, clients enjoy our redwood sundeck and refreshments in the relaxing lounge. After pampering, visitors can continue to relax by window-shopping at The Shop at IO in the spa or at nearby boutiques or enjoy an afternoon coffee or tea at a local cafe.

The belief that wellness, relaxation and balance are an ongoing lifestyle choice is the cornerstone of the International Orange philosophy. IO’s design embraces this philosophy in the symbol of the circle that appears in white throughout the decor of International Orange and signifies completeness, eternity and a “Practice Silence” mantra.

BEAUTY
At International Orange, spa goers can choose from a wide variety of restorative and effective skin care treatments including: deep cleanse, organic enzyme-boost, holistic facials and body exfoliation. The technically expert, detailed and nurturing massages are a hybrid of styles selected by the Massage Therapist based on specific client needs. IO’s Advanced Massage Therapists draw from Thai, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Chinese Tui Na, Acupressure and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi modalities. Patrons can also select specialty add-ons such as Organic Essential Oils, Hot Stones, Aromatic Scalp Treatment and Foot Reflexology.

YOGA
International Orange’s yoga offerings include lunchtime yoga, hatha flow, prenatal, power yoga, ashtanga flow classes, restorative and private lessons. Each yoga practice offers a different solution for individual needs and tastes.

LOUNGE
International Orange is furnished with two relaxation lounges:

• An semi-private indoor space with soft, plush sitting pillows – perfect for reading or an afternoon cat nap. Enjoy complimentary seasonal fruit like bing cherries, strawberries and dark chocolate at the refreshment bar.
• The outdoor patio is a relaxation oasis with lounge chairs, straw mats and lush-greenery. A retreat where the street bustle does not intrude on spa clients who need to escape the urban jungle and soak up some sunshine and fresh air.

SKIN AND BODY PRODUCT APOTHECARY
An ample range of beauty and wellness products allow women and men to pick from the best – a hand-selected, exclusive assortment of healing and effective skin and body care, candles, fragrance and eco-couture clothing for their personal skin and body needs. A few available selections are:

International Orange (Organic Body Care), a daily ritual of 7 organic wellness products made with the Earth’s best and rarest ingredients. The anatomy of the scents are comprised of Exotic Ceremonial Flowers, Uplifting Citruses and Healing Herbs. It’s an intelligent body care practice… like YOGA for the skin. Practice beauty with IO.

In Fiore, an Italian beauty line promotes the European aesthetic of extra-rich hydrating lotions and oils. The package is simple and clean, with sophisticated scents that include herbaceous, woodsy, citrus and floral aromas.

Arcona, is a standout with a focus on skin protection from environmental free radicals that assault urban dwellers. With futuristic silver packaging, products include Mythic Tribe Moisturizer, an evening repair emollients called Night Worker and Triad (cranberry-infused) Cleansing Pads.

Skinceuticals offers the “best sunscreen on the market” and launched a mineral-based Concealer Brush (with SPF) that boasts its non-pore clogging characteristics.

Astara, a Colorado-based beauty line offers an impressive lineup of masks featuring nighttime repair and enzyme nutrient-based masks. International Orange uses at least two Astara products in spa treatments.
