Description
Caitlin Keegan's work for Home is a mix of the household ordinary and fantastic. Much of the work was inspired by a rocking chair owned by Caitlin's great-aunt. When Caitlin was young, she was convinced that the carved lion heads on the arms would come to life. This work was created in the same spirit--imagining often subtle, independent personalities and relationships for objects within the home.

Julia Rothman has moved five times in five years. Through all this moving she realized that home seems to be her "stuff." It's not until the things she's collected or purchased over the years are cluttered around her that she feels comfortable or "at home". Part of her work for Home is a series of drawings of single, ordinary objects that emphasize imagined history and importance. Other drawings are groupings of a variety of like objects- keys, lamps, and shoes, for example.
