Part memoir, part manifesto, part log of epiphanies, Askew (hardback, $12.95) is a poetic work of passionate beauty and originality in which multiple stories appear to unfold within the same field of time and space. Using a unique poetic invention he calls “zippers,” poet Dan Harder tells the story of a young man’s travels to one of the least traveled parts in the (almost) South of France.

Dan Harder is a San Francisco poet, journalist, playwright and children’s book author. His features have appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle and Los Angeles Times, and his commentaries have been broadcast on National Public Radio.
