WHAT IS CORALINE?
The SF Playhouse's West Coast Premiere of "Coraline."
Based on Neil Gaiman's novel "Coraline." Book by David Greenspan. Music and Lyrics by Stephen Merrit. Directed by SF Playhouse Artistic Director Bill English. Featuring Matt Vuolo's Scenic Design.
Description: Poor bored Coraline. She's left to rattle 'round her perpetually distracted, workaholic parents' house all by her lonesome. But late one night, her dreams of a better reality come true as she opens a big, carved, wooden door at the far end of the drawing room and passes into a perfect replica of her own world. When she's greeted there by a vastly loving Other Mother and a kindly Other Father, she's thrilled! But as the rats start to creep from the floorboards, and the way home becomes increasingly unclear, Coraline begins to suspect that, perhaps, all is not as perfect as it seems...

WHO IS TEAM SEARFUOLO?
Team Searfuolo (get it?) is Matt Vuolo and Erin Searfus. Matt’s busy working on his Master’s thesis focusing on furniture design. He’s been designing sets for local theaters. Erin’s wrapping up her bachelor’s degree in theatre stage management at SF State and has been working alongside renowned artists at theaters across the bay area. This winter they’re doing even more. They’re training for the Lavaman Triathlon with Team in Training (TNT) and have committed to raise $10,000 dollars for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). Both Matt & Erin have worked at the SF Playhouse in various capacities over the past few years. Erin's main gig is stage management while Matt is a set design (his design is featued in Coraline!) Matt & Erin consider the SF Playhouse their second home and it's staff their second family. They are thrilled to be putting on this fundraiser which combines their two favorite things: Team in Training & Theatre. All our thanks goes out to Bill, Susi & Sam for their unwavering support and encouragement.
