History

Thomaso Castagnola was credited with creating the first crab cocktail for the 1915 World's Fair, and opened the first crab stand on Fisherman's Wharf in 1916, selling fresh crab to passerby. Now Castagnola's is completely remodeled, with floor to ceiling windows that reveal exquisite views of the San Francisco Bay, Fisherman's Wharf, the Historic "F" line, Fishing Boats, Coit Tower and the downtown skyline.

The restaurant also offers plenty of room at the lounge on the lower level. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by a large cocktail lounge with a U-Shaped bar. The perfect ambiance for happy hour or evening cocktails.

Private Dining

Castagnola's Banquet Room located on the upper level of the restaurant and is ideal for all types of Special Events. This expansive upstairs section of the restaurant features a partially covered patio with panoramic views.
