| Description Bucheon is pleased to present a second solo show for San Francisco based artist David Gremard Romero who will show new paintings, hand embroidered costumes, and sculpture. The show will open with a reception on June 27, from 6-8pm and run through August.
David has spent the last year creating a fascinating body of work by traveling back and forth to Juchitan, Mexico where he collaborated with the Zapotec Indians to make several extraordinary costumes. The designs evolved through David’s ambitious drawings that explore the cultures and ideologies that formed during the pre Colombian and colonial era of the New World . This is especially significant for David who is Mexican American and motivated to find out more about his complex identity. David has been showing his work in London, Miami and New York and continues to find new audiences. We’re delighted to have David literally take over the gallery to see his ideas come alive. * |
